Instead, we get Nestle, Bulla, and ok, at least got Cadbury. But Nestle? Bulla?! So very "King's" or "Magnolia". Not to be snobby, but sometimes I really just NEED my New York Super Fudge Chunk or Chocolate Fudge Brownies or Chubby Hubby! The creamy, smoothness of these ice creams just cannot be matched by Magnolia lah.
Aghast, I was despo enough to blast off an email to Ben & Jerry's demanding that they do something about it, but I haven't gotten a reply.
Hmm...maybe I shouldn't have sounded so hysterical.
Beyond desperate, I settled for this which looks very promising indeed.
Nice packaging and looks very HC and elegant but AUD$4.79 only. At least not in the familiar square blue tubs lah.

HEAVEN - Triple Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream
Notice how the "V" is underlined? So it's not just "have-un" must be "have-Vurn". Got it?
Here's a description on the tub:
"Don't kid yourself, you will finish the tub. You may think you can stop at the deliciously rich chocolate ice cream studded with choc fudge pieces but once the gooey core of the chocolate fudge sauce oozes its way onto your spoon theres no stopping. It's all yours, enjoy!"
Ok anyway, eagerly took a first mouthful of the ice-cream. Hmm... not bad. Quite chocolatey like mud cake. Got nice thick chocolate fudge swirls also. BUT... chocolate fudge pieces tasted more like toffee and like all Nestle, King's, Magnolia ice cream, it doesn't have that smooth, creamy texture.
Hais! At least is still chocolatey. And didn't stop me from polishing it off.

Took me about 10 minutes only.
Very full now, but not satisfied.
Spotted Cadbury's Chocolate Mint Ice Cream, and also this "Connoisseur" brand ($7.40 for one litre makes it the most expensive in the supermarket range) just now. Die die must try.
